they're surviving - the gators have had a brush with the kerb but you can scrape the damage away with a tool they give you so it's not too bad ::)
speed never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you!

'Hats' off to you for using it as a learner car (see what I did there?). I think I'd cry if someone scraped the wheels or even over revved it.

You would have to be really, really, really trying, and probably on a runway, to over-rev it out of sport  ;)

Some of them do rev it way too much - but not for long!

Have completely fallen out with alloygaters - if you catch the clip on a kerb the whole thing basically starts to come off the tyre - a serious design flaw.
That's £70 I'll never see again!

In Aliens, they say "take of and nuke it from space, its the only way to be sure".

In your case "Steel rims that fit over the calipers ok, its the only way to be sure"

10 spokes - they look great, but not a bundle of fun to wash are they! (even with my new investment, the Autoglym wheel brush...)

I've just put some on some SS wheels that are now destined to spend the winter in the shed.  A bit of an arseache to put on, but the 4th is easier than the 1st.  I went round hammering them home after I thought I was done and split the clips.  I called the guy and he's put another set in the post FOC.  You get a couple of spares with the kit.

I'm a bit nervous about them, but £50 is cheap peace of mind even if ultimately they're crap.

well this set of alloys are trashed so I'll just keep using these and when I get a new one use the crap alloys on the new car put the shiny new ones on mine.

I used the 2 free clips within a couple of weeks they just can't stand upto a tiny bash against the kerb - think they are great aslong as you don't let learners loose in your car !!!!
