Freshly detailed 500 Abarth
« on: February 02, 2012, 08:52:30 AM »
Hello,  as promised, here are some pictures of my Abarth from yesterday, undergoing its 'new car detail' at Get-Polished in Middlesbrough.

I am very pleased with the results.

PS - I am thinking of getting a TMC tuning box, does anyone know anywhere in the north east who could fit it for me?

cheers, Doug :)

That looks fantastic Doug. Don't drive it till at least Spring now.
As far as the TMC box. You can easily fit it yourself. The instructions are very clear with pictures and I guarantee Daron will be on the other end of the phone 24/7 if needs be. Just take your time.

That looks amazing, agree with hippo don't take it anywhere at the moment, my cars now black with white wheels

Wish my drive was flat to take the wheels off, frightened it will roll away with me under it!

My drive was the worst to work with but I got there in the end, Matt  :thumb:

Looking good Doug.  The others are right about the TMC box, Daron's instructions are very comprehensive with lots of photos.  Even I managed to fit one by myself...astonishing!!

There is a vid up on youtube showing how to fit the TMC box, very usefull.
You have to be carefull with air filter box on 500, if you break off peg on manifold, car wont run.

That is looking very nice! Looks like they did a good job! Mine is HORRIBLE at the moment!

I've just got a TMC box.. And I have no idea about engines or anything like that, so I will let you know how I get on fitting mine (when I get round to it). I'm just a bit further south than you - just down from Middlesbrough.

It's really simple.
The instructions are pretty detailed and all you need to do is to loosen some screws to get access to the connectors and replace them.
Very easy, but take of killing your hand ;)

thanks DanDey :)   this is not my garage though, it is the premesis of Get-Polished who detailed the car, apologies for any confusion.

I wish I had a garage like that though   8)

You have to be carefull with air filter box on 500, if you break off peg on manifold, car wont run.

The newer versions do not need you to remove the air filter box.
