so my boyfriend had his T-jet remapped by Red Dot the other week, and the out come was...

standard with a custom exhaust and induction kit: 151 bhp and 179 lb-fts

after the remap: 158.9 bhp and 204.5 lb-fts

pretty good :), but really he needs an abarth turbo for bigger results!

They were the original style, they changed to all chrome about a year ago.

Well last night me and a friend had a muck around, and had a little race. His car is a st, well I found going round the roundabout he had a great advantage, I just couldn't keep up, I felt like my car was going to tip, an I wasn't going stupidly fast, but when I finally came off it was pretty much the same. Where I was a bit behind from the roundabout I just couldn't gain quick enough. But I raced my boyfriend last night he's got 160 bhp and 205 ft lbs and we stayed together exactly the same. again he was better round the roundabout. So I'm thinking of lowering. But I'm not sure whether to get springs or coilovers. Just wondered what people on here have found best? I'm also of thinking of an induction kit and eaither a tmc box or a remap?

Maybe Mr st's balls where just bigger than yours on the roundabouts and your bf was just toying with you  ???

I had a play on a roundabout with a mates 170bhp Punto GT with coils and stuck with him, but my balls are huge  :thumb:

Depends if it was a focus or fiesta ST , my old fiesta st was a dog to  handle compared to my Abarth

Sorting the suspension with a full springs/shocks package will allow you to carry far more speed through the twisty/circular/bouncy stuff and will up your average speeds more than a speed mod without sorting the suspension. I genuinely feel that the 500 upgrade route needs to start from the suspension rather than the engine.

It was a fiesta st and his lowered 30 mil. Maybe I just didn't have the balls lol but I didn't wanna psh it too much. And nah even he said he was racing. Could you recommend any springs forth abarth? Don't really want coilovers.

sold my abarth a little while ago, ended up being just too much money on finance, so went and bought a fiat punto 1.4 sporting 2005, lovely little car, althought nothing like the abarth really   :( x
