HI All

Sorry not added anything for a bit - am still enjoying the drive - would even go as far as to say Best Car i have owned (even better than the Mini Cooper S! (that was the wifes and she changed that for a 1.4 Fiat Grande Punto Sporting 1.4 16v - which is why i went for the Abarth as her car has been extremely reliable - touch wood!))

I will take a few more photos after i have cleaned - couldn't clean this weekend as raining all day Sunday and most of Saturday.

I will try and take one that shows the sunroof to better effect - as there appears to have been a special request for one.

Will hopefully add this weekend assuming the weather is OK

Hi All

Quick update

I have booked my car in for some warranty work - 8 nov.

As prevoiusly stated am having the Body kit around the wheel arch on the drivers side redone as it is slightly away.

While they are doing that have asked them to check the speakers on the passenger door as they seem to vibrate a bit a low volume. I have also asked them to look at the speakers on the drivers side. It has happened a couple of times now - it sounds like something dripping and "frying" on the electrics - coming from the speaker. Sods law - it aint happened for a couple of weeks - but they are going to check it over anyway.

I am also having them check the Drivers Door as it does not seem set right as it appears to have rubbed some paint off the leading edge and off the main body when opening and closing. Part of the Stripe on the Drivers side is very slightly awy - so that needs sticking down - just so happens to be near an edge so that might explain it.

More serious, and i don't seem to have seen anything on the Forum - is a vehicle recall for APE's, 500 and 500C Abarths - to do with the Side Airbags. I am also having that done. Has anyone else received their letters re vehicle recall - be interested to know.

So all in all, actually only really minor things but none the less irritating.

I will let you know how i get on - they are keeping it a couple of days.

Cheers Remy

Some of those sound familiar.

Info on airbag recall (it's a software update) can be found here.

Thanks Alex

Is there any links to articles re similar problems to mine? I've tried searching - in particular for the probelm with the Frying coming from the Drivers speaker. What is weird is when i switch the stereo off, it carries on and gets progressively louder. As i say it aint happened for a couple of weeks so touch wood was only a blip  ???

I think I had that once on my AGP early on in its life, but it only happened the once.  Hopefully just a loose connection, easily sorted I'm sure.

Hi All

A bit since i added anything. So here goes

I had the car in the other week for some warranty work as follows:

Bodkit round wheel arch not properly stuck
Vibration of passenger side speakers at vey low volume
Weird hissing noise coming from drivers side speakers
Drivers door caught body rubbing paint off door and body
The Airbag recall
Part of red stripe on drivers side not stuck properly and a brake check.

Bauer Millett had the car a week, replaced the bodykit round the wheel arch, more padding in the passnger door, replaced the speakers in the drivers door, redid the stripe, reprogrammed the airbags and slight re allignment of dribers dor.

All in all everything now brilliant - almost at the 1000 mile mark and can already feel the engine freeing up. When you get to 1000 miles does it also affect the car in sports mode - as that is rapid as it is!

Will post some more pictutres when i get a mo - o got some touch up paint from halfords!

Cheers and safe driving!
