My AGP as it is now
« on: January 19, 2012, 04:04:52 PM »
Thought I should do an update of my car and what it looks like now did a bit more work on it this week so thought it was a good time to show what it looks like. The car is dirty and will get a proper clean at some point.

The car maybe not to everyone's taste but everyone I know seem impressed and people come up and ask me about it and my plans with the car.

I've done quite a bit to the car: Forge induction kit (going to remove the heat shield on it soon as it's wrong and so got it held in place to avoid it rubbing against anything which will mean cutting the heat shield off)
Forge intercooler
various forge pipework
Eibach sportlines
custom built cat back exhaust (required modifying the rear bumper slightly)
TMC box
Protoxide BOV
Changed gear knob to a Sparco one
Bonnet, rear spoiler and centre console wrapped (I did centre console myself so quality of work not as good as bonnet and rear spoiler)
Also few little visual things like stickers/decals etc.

I know I'm sure I've seen you few times I'm sure I saw you near King's hill when I was coming back to Ashford from work. I work at silly times so probably why I'm not seen often.

Also the car was the one at the Essex dyno day which got 188bhp with about 300nm of torque off the top of my head if I remember correctly. I also did a single timed 0-60 which was 7.2 seconds but I'm sure in good conditions and perfect run I could get it under 7 seconds got the 7.2 on a random.

Will be trying my best to get to some meets and shows this year hopefully get to some.

Really like the quad exhaust :thumb: the rear of the Punto really accepts the quad pipes well where as imo the 500 is too small for quads.

Cant say Im a big fan of the Forge stickers but everyones different and there'd be no fun if we was all the same :D

Look forward to seeing some more pics

No that wasn't me in Sittingbourne not been there I'm more likely to be seen in Ashford or Tonbridge.

Glad with the comments so far have got few ideas with future modifications some performance and some for show but will see when the time comes.

Thanks  :)
To be honest it was one of the first mods I ever done and just went for the biggest tailpipes that fit if I had done it now I may have used different tailpipes.
Was lucky the bloke who built the exhaust did a good job on cutting the bumper it looks like it should be that way.

They look around 3 1/2 wasn't told what size they were and never thought to measure myself. I know they said anything bigger wouldn't fit/cause issues.

Also to get that right hand side pipe to connect it needed to go around the bit where a spare wheel should be and join at the back of the back box and a small sort strip of metal just behind the bumper where the new tailpipes were fitted needed cutting off looked like it was there to support the bumper but never had issues.

When the exhaust was done I was bit of a novice at the time so can't say too much all I asked for was basically the look and sound of the exhaust.
