Thought I'd follow suit and put up a few pics.  Not the best camera in the world these days or is it my photography Whistle

Anyway these are the best I can do for now.

Also, only had it three days and some clown has already managed to put a little scratch on the left corner of the rear bumper. Any recommendations on removal techniques or should I just ask the dealer to fix at whatever cost.  To be honest it is only minor, but I know it is there or should I just accept the fact this is going to happen.

Congrats, looking nice and shiny! I used to wax the whole car using black coloured wax from halfords to fill in tiny scratches, worked a treat on a black car! If its a deep scratch a wax stick might work? but ive never used one, hope you get it sorted  Thumb Up

Nice! Thumb Up

How deep is the scratch, is it something that could be removed with a scratch removal polish? (Megs Scratch X, or similar)

nice nar Thumb Up

if its a deep scratch there are mobile smart reparers who will fix it at your home in  a couple of hours, worth doing to keep the car looking pristine.

be careful with those wheels, i kerbed one of mine after 2 days and the finish is not easy to repair

Thanks for the comments!!  The scratch is actually very light.  If I get a scratch removal polish what is the method of buffing out the imperfection?  Can I cause problems witht he rest of the paintwork or are the scratch removal polishes pretty safe?

very nice, like the wheels  Thumb Up

if the scratch is light, try Mer polish, remember to rub in a vertical or horizontal motion, never in circles, and then buff off. It should take out any minor blemishes or light scratches, deeper ones you could also T-cut polish, and then put on a heavy polish colour restorer to take away any imperfections.

Try autoglym super resin polish a few layers will get rid of minor scratches but  if its major then get   a pro to machine polish it out i wouldnt use t-cut its very abrasive and will take of some of your clear coat(laquer).

Hi Basky,

I have the AGP in black, it just look sooooo sexy doesnt it Thumb Up

Don't know if this will help or not but when i had my car serviced last, they cleaned up a scratch i had on the back bumper using some sort of polish that they had (i cant remember what they called it sorry Embarrassed) it was all free of charge and it looked brand new again, might be worth giving them a call just to see if they can help???

Hey Hughzy,

Yes I always wanted a black car and when I was looking at getting a new car I was after something sporty.  Initially I had seen the Evo sporting, but when I saw the Abarth I loved it from day one.

It looks so bloody cool.  The interior is fantastic and kicks butt of the Evo.  I collected my Abarth matts today which had been on a delay from Italy.  They really add that finishing touch.

I will certainly take your advice and ask the dealer if they will remove the scratch when it is serviced as it is really very minor.

Thanks for all the comments and advice all.
