My bossa nova white A500 esseesse with black accents

Here are some pictures taken using a GoPro Hero HD2 because I couldnt find my normal digital camera.

Guernsey registered and collected from the dealer with just 6 miles on the clock
all options ticked
Bossa nova white
Esseesse kit with Koni FSD dampers and formerly titanium wheels which are now satin black
10-spoke wheels retained as spares
skydome / opening sunroof
climate control
anti-dazzle rear view mirror
Black side stripes and mirrors (mirrors to be replaced with carbon fibre from TMC at some point but I'm not keen on the silicone sealant installation method.)
Black leather with white stitching interior from Abarth 500C
PIAA DRL bulbs
dark smoke tinted windows
black numbered alloy gearknob - see my How-To thread

Future plans:
fitment of the carbon mirror caps one day
paint brake calipers black when the stuff arrives in the post
add custom made wheel centre caps when they arrive from Ukraine

I was very pleased to find that Spotify and the music app on my iPhone 4S worked straight away with the car with no fiddling needed.

Whilst clearly not as fast as the R8, this is better suited to the Guernsey roads.

Looks good but you front door is a bit wonky.  Hope your using a super wide angle lens or you need to get that seen too  :whistle:

The GoPro cameras have a case with a fisheye lens to provide a wide field of vision as its designed mostly for video but can also be used for timelapse photography, regular pictures at 11MP and more. 

This is a video taken using the earlier GoPro Hero HD 1 so you can get an idea of the wide field of vision albeit not abarth but Audi R8.

Nice spec'd car, makes a change from the classic Red on White (not that there's anything wrong with that), any plans for it or just gona enjoy it as it is?

R8 sounds abit of a beast, is that a flappy paddle or just like a semi auto box, as I couldnt see the paddles behind the wheel in the video

Beyond the colourcoding I have no real desire to do anything more to the car because it is brand new its nice to have a warranty.

The R8 is R-Tronic in other words it has flappy paddles which I adore.  I read reviews that the auto system in the Abarth 500C is not very good so I went for a manual hatchback although for every R8 reviewer who hates the R-Tronic gearbox in the R8 there are plenty of very happy owners such as myself.

This is another video of the R8 but an exterior view this time.  If you want to see anymore you will have to check my youtube channel because this is an Abarth forum after all and I'd hate to spam it with all my R8 videos :)

This weekend I set about painting the brake calipers black using a special brake caliper painting kit and added some ABARTH decals purchased from eBay.  I also fitted the ABARTH wheel centre caps.

A 'before' shot showing the original red brake calipers and wheel centre caps.


Front jacked up using a Draper racing jack with 3 hockey pucks ontop of the jack pad.


This shot shows the ABARTH decal applied and then coated in a layer of lacquer to lock it in and prevent peeling.


Here's what it looks like with the wheel back on


This is a 'before' shot of the rear brake caliper


And here is a shot of the painted rear brake caliper with ABARTH logo


And the finished article.  It was raining hence the streaks on the glass, its not a bad tinting job :)
Wheels will also be removed another time to thoroughly clean the wheel arches and apply various protective products.
