Thanks Colin......i can still remember the sentence that went through my mind as he hit me........i am either going to die now or at the very least be very seriously injured...then just braced myself waiting for the pain....i was terrified....so when the car finally stopped (rather abruptly), i didn't feel much pain on my face as it hit the screen...i sat stunned for a moment or two..then wriggled my toes and fingers....everything was working and no bad injury....so i was elated about that.....and still can not believe that i walked away from it.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Could have been so much worse. Wales turns into destruction derby during the summer hols (which have just started!) There were 4 crashes on Thursday nearby, one involved a friend of a friend who is still in intensive care, the young girl that hit her died. The other 3 were not fatal as far as i know. One of them was a foreigner driving on the wrong side of the road!  Roll Eyes People get carried away on these fun roads, but unless they know what they're doing it's chaos.

Anyway, glad you're getting over it now  Thumb Up

Hi NM
Thanks for the messg
My nose was pretty sore for a few days afterwards.....i think i must have a very hard head and nose as didn't even break the skin....I think it was the timing of the airbags pushing me back that stopped the full impact.

My poor colleague ended up taking the shift as the only trained nurse ...there should be three minumum !!!!!!!....luckily the ward was closed with norovirus at the time so only half the no. of patients.....she also is the most experienced nurse i know...and had good hca support.

LOl....fraid i picked exactly the same spec......it is my favourite anyway.....funk ss kit titanium wheels red stripes and bonnet scorpion..red leather...etc....he's a beaut and named Guido by Pootle  Wink

Mmmmmm i do need to buy more cleaning stuff...as whilst waiting for my new car.. MOH has used most of it on his bike and car!!!!

I'm the same as needsmust....sorry to here you had to go through all thats been mentioned.

I've had 2 close calls in the last few days, purely due to the stupidity from other people-car driving at about 50mph towards me on the wrong side of an empty road (go figure) -someone else struggling to control their wild steering down a wide country lane, after realising that they're not the only person using the road and I'm coming towards them

You do get that lovely new car smell back though Wink

Glad to see your well and you've been able to shake it off and get another one  Thumb Up

Thanks BT  Smiley
i am bit of a nervous driver now...especially along narrow lanes...and really dont like overtaking at the moment.

lol....my old car was new enough to still have the new car smell......luckily it was less than a year old and the insurance had to replace with new.

Ar what, I haven't even had mine 6 months and I can barely smell that lovely 'fresh, out of the box' scent. It mostly smells of my aftershave now though, which isn't a bad thing, it's just that once that new smells gone...it's gone.

I even stop after visiting KFC drive-thru to put my bag of yummy chicken in the boot, so as not to contaminate little Tic's cockpit  Grin

Guido meets Luigi....

This could be a coincidence but my neighbours daughter was visiting with her son and she spotted me cleaning the Abarth and said to her son 'oh look a luigi but in black' I thought this was strange until I saw the photo. I think she lives in the Warwick area.

Nice to see you back Thumb Up
