Those are good pics.
I think the secret is simply to take lots and lots of photos, in different places, lighting conditions etc and analyse ciritically what works and what does not.
That said, I have a list of place near home and other favourite haunts to take rental and borrowed cars when I want photos of them to which I return time and again.
