Did you remove the top part and then drill the hole in the lower part?  Is it difficult to get the top part off.

Theres a few plastic type clip/screws, just a flat head screwdriver and they pop out, I drilled from the inside out the way though, I just lifted the top part for a little more clearance, didnt take it off completely, took me about 10 minutes to do 5 holes and re-attatch the plastic top bit

Drilled mine from in the engine bay no need to remove anything  :thumb:
and i have the standard airbox on so should be easier with your induction kit on  :thumb:

I followed the "better safe than sorry" route, as I've always said, I'm mechanically inept, even with just a drill, so I take every precaution I can to avoid catastrophe  :whistle:

Out of interest, what do you have to do with the filler neck to stop the rattle?

FWDBoy  I only adjusted the neck so that it slots into the groves in the engine cover of the induction kit,  Had no more rattles since then

I haven't drilled mine yet :)  The discussion about the filler neck is just some of us not following the instructions to the letter and thus getting a rattle from where the oil filler neck connects to the engine cover.  Had to remove mine and refit to get the rattle to go away.

So heres a picture of the filler neck, the green circles show where the hexagonal corners line up in the small semi-holes cut into the engine cover, they need to be pretty much dead centre with the holes, so that they dont touch and you avoid that annoying rattle. Pictures of holes to follow  :thumb:

Not easy to see where exactly I drilled the holes but hopefully this helps and gives you an idea

The last photo just has some green dots roughly where I drilled my holes, I used a two inch drill piece, and made 4 holes in total, two directly in front of the filter head, if you were to put your chin on the filter and look straight forwards I did the two holes there, and then two as close as possible as I could alone the underside of the scuttle panel, none of them can be seen from the outside of the car, or in the engine bay unless you get right in and look
