Great pic; I remembered it - that kind of happy photo sticks in the mind. Exactly the sort of thing to dwell on when you've lost your folks - the good times. Sounds tough with your sister ill too. Best wishes.
Thanks guys (Joe & Needs). It's a out of focus, strange format picure. I think taken on an old cheap Vivitar camera we used to have. sort of adds to the charm

How much did it cost to get the wing mirrors changed to the white ones?
Pete - You can get primed wing mirror covers from your local Fiat Dealer (doesn't have to be Abarth). Get them to spray them Funk White. The 2 Mirror caps and the painting, with VAT came to bang on £90 including VAT. I presume that flat colours would be cheaper. The match was really good and the finish is nice and smooth. Very pleased.

Had a lovely drive today. Felt like the first day of spring. Through the Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire countryside, about 60 miles Came accross a white Clio Cup who was just out for a spin on the traffic free roads. flashed, waved, stopped and had a little play! Happy day

Just wondering, how is the old Paintshield holding up? Any signs of wear, discolour or peeling etc? Is it doing it's job well?

Just wondering, how is the old Paintshield holding up? Any signs of wear, discolour or peeling etc? Is it doing it's job well? yep. All still looks good ta. There are a couple of areas where it's loosened but absolutely minimal. I'm keeping an eye out for discolouring but all looks good. Would I recommend it or have it again? I don't know, if you've got the cash and a £700 quid paint job then yes. It's definately saved paint damage so I'm pleased.

Had noticed it but only just read about the history of it. Sad, but fond memories eh? And best wishes to your sister (and to you).

Puts everything in perspective really. Her kids are 9, 13 and 16 and will miss her dreadfully when she's gone. Very sad, tough times. She's a really good person - a teacher and mother - so unfair. A bit of a downer of a post but that's the way things are and why I've been quiet on here recently.

Had a lovely relaxed day today. Cleaned and polished the car while listening to the cup final. Went for a drive afterwards. Came up behind a BMW845 on twisty bits, him just cruising along. He saw me scorch up behind him and slammed his foot down. Very twisty, good, country road and he just could not pull away significantly. Not saying I beat him but when he turned off he was craning his neck looking at me thinking WTF! Very satisfying

Looking forward to tomorrow (Saturday). Got a new BMC filter to fit, going to mess around with cold air induction, give it a good clean with some new gear I got last week at Stanford. Just bought the latest Gorillas cd to listen to while I do it. The weather's going to be good. Then I'm going to wait until the traffic dies down on the local country roads and then thrash the bol**x off the little git. I'll come home, have a curry, crack open a 12 case of Stella and watch England beat the USA. Who says that predictable is boring!

After a long absence, another "my car with" picture. This time a nice 365 and an F40 at Stanford.

1 year old today. It's been fun.
Here's a picture of my notice board in my garage. Lots of pics through the year.
Zoom in and have a look!
