Previously worked for Fiat so there was a spare one that didnt need certifying like now, which is only done through chassis numbers,etc.
Its all above board otherwise i wouldnt of indulged in such things, especially talking about it on here or any other forum.
Sometimes a SS kit is ordered by a dealer only for press purposes at lauch with no intention of actually fitting it to a vehicle.
I'm sure a new ecu is obtainable, what happens if the ECU fails
, its re-ordered, the later kits now have to be VIN number certified so its impossible to order one then just install it to a normal 500.
