Abarth rear bumper and exhaust
« on: February 04, 2011, 04:00:07 PM »
Hi
Could any of you tell me whether or not an abarth rear bumper complete with the standard exhaust will be a direct fit onto a 500 1.4 ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I don't see why it should not fit as I think the body has not been modified. You would also have to fit the diffuser. What it would look like without the sills and front bumper  :thumbd:

I would have thought the bumper would fit, the only problem I could see is whether the two exhaust sysems are the same diameter, it's possible the Abarth system might be larger requiring a sleeve or adaptor to join them. Might be worth finding one to measure up.

Yeah would fit but can see it going in the name and shame thread as its not an abarth.

Erm, I have an Abarth, I don't care about rear bumper or exhaust.  It's Abarth. All I care about is the acceleraton I get in 6th gear compared to all the other guys on the road.  And wth that I am happy.

:thumbd: What a bunch of meanies! The question was:

Hi
Could any of you tell me whether or not an abarth rear bumper complete with the standard exhaust will be a direct fit onto a 500 1.4 ?

Not:

What would a Fiat 500 with an Abarth bumper look like and what is more important, the bumper or the acceleration in 6th gear?

I dont think they've been mean at all.
The best advice would be to go and buy one and find out because no one on here would of even thought about trying it.

Yes the bumper will fit you will just need a reducer for the exhaust.

Cut the bumper the same the other side where the exhaust is. I have seen this done on other cars. Mind you, not sure on a 500 if the exhaust will sit at the right height?
