Anyone ever tried or currently play airsoft?

reason i ask is a group of us who normally go paintballing have decided we fancy a change all of us are fed up of the never ending sheet of injuries weve taken from broken limbs to the iconic eclipse bruises and in conversation this come up. ive never heard of it never mind played it from what i gather its much the same but costs less and does less damage.

so can anyone tell me more about it?

I went paintballing with a load of bar/nightclub workers years ago - mainly huge doormen.  The other team were made up of sales and marketing managers from an unrelated company on a team building day.  It was carnage and the organisers thought it was hilarious and were giving us lots of free ammunition.

I used to play Airsoft before the Violent Crime Reduction Bill got passed which almost suffocated the game. To get hold of Airsoft guns now you have to be a member of an airsoft association which means playing at a local site more than three times in the space of three months (I think).

The game it's self is good fun but I would recommend hiring a gun and trying it out first. Check out http://www.ambushwargames.com/

Looks good looks like a few people take it too serious tho which is what i was worried about with paintballing it was just a laugh even the other players seen it that way even tho pretty much all of us had good kit. dunno how im gonna take getting killed by some little geeky 14 year old dressed up like a character off a game lol.
