Don't take me the wrong way and I wholeheartedly agree that a lot of the extra safety devices on cars would be completely unnecessary if everybody had the ability to drive correctly. But they can't. And, in the same way that ABS stops someone who can't use brakes properly from hitting me and the ones I love, if this stops someone driving into me and the ones I love as well then I am not against it...

If it saved one persons life, how could you condemn it?  :thumb:

Helloho!  I am in charge of my own safety and the tw@t (oops profanity filter) in a mini van who pulled out of a layby today on my way home with 5 metres (yes metres) to go either had a

- death wish
- wanted me dead or damaged
- did not pay attention a bit even though I had my lights on
- was blind.

Are you excusing this type of bad driving?

Obviously I braked, and I do have excellent brakes, luckily.  But it (the stupid driver can be no more than an it)  made me overtake IT (yes a male tw@t - oops profanity filter) who went 30 on a 60 road after pulling out ahead of me on a short stretch of road.  It was ok, I am fast enough.  But are you really endorsing this stupid way of driving? Eyes, mate and a bit of due care and attention.
