Been fighting with chronic migraines for 3 years (like normal migraines but less severe and I get them most days), which is why I don't do track days or evening meets and Chris often drives for me at weekends.
I really love my job in the health service, I retrained for it quite late in life after being an IT consultant for years, but low stress it is not. Recently I've found some medication that is really helping with the headaches, but now it's become obvious that they clear at weekends and get worse as the week goes on. Also our referrals have gone up by 50% in the last few months and I'm just having to get more and more done in a day.
So I've made the depressing decision to cut down to four days. We've got an enthusiastic new member of staff who'd really like an extra day and it means I can give my all on the days I'm there.
So good news is I might be at more meets actually driving the car, bad news I shan't be getting a new car for some years as I've just nuked a 5th of my salary. Although there's always the option of taking in more freelance work or actually using my personal trainer qualification if things improve.
