I love the toll, especially once the barriers rise to open up that big ,wide , empty,drag strip of a road..

Had a great 0-70ish mph     :whistle: race with a sporty merc slk last nite..

Last time I went up the M6 toll (on the way to a wedding in Lancashire), it was gloriously empty. But also had big signs up saying "Police speed traps operate in this area". So I sulked slightly inside but made sure to behave. Was a good job I did - unlike the bloke who went blatting past me at many miles per hour - as around the next corner there was a policeman pointing his radar gun at the traffic.

They are there everyday  :o as so many people speed on there its easy pickings  :(

They also have there own police station on there too, so its close for them when they want tea and biscuits  ;)

My other half works for M6Toll could tell you so many funny stories  ;D

I found out what my top speed of ..70mph was on that road ;) Haven't been along there for well over a year as my parents moved back down here.

Surely if you pay to use a road you can go as fast as you want?
