Apparently it makes sense to talk to your car before a race.  in a highly lit garage.

I talk to Carmen all the time, to the point where Emma gets quite jealous....  I guess it's a sign of the Abarth-madness!

I haven't watched the programme yet, I will watch it later on the BBC I-Player.    I used to look forward to every episode but now it is getting tired.   I know that we are going to get smashed up caravans, a Morris Marina with a piano dropped on its roof and a programme dedicated to slagging off what was once a British car industry.   We will get the JC telling us that the latest BMW is unbeatable value for money despite having to pay extra for a key ring and loads of jokes about how short Hammond is.

I would like to see a car programme with occasional jokes not a (so called) comedy programme with cars in it.   Perhaps I am getting old but I actually prefer Fifth Gear now, at least you get their opinion on normal cars that you can afford.

Quite simply the best episode I can remember!

Leaves the rest of the series a tough job to live up to that episode.

Sunday 5th February

2/7. Jeremy Clarkson and James May travel to Beijing to learn about China's car industry, which has seen great expansion in recent years - but also have a violent encounter with one of the Stig's cousins. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond immerses himself in the world of Nascar at a race in Texas, and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is wrestled around the test track, emitting serious amounts of noise and smoke in the process. Matt LeBlanc is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Just finished watching and Enjoyed it. Series have got  a bit ridiculous but then i think thats half the pleasure! Time away from the real world where we can all experience the joy of supercar driving, even if only vicariously

Got to say that any car that spits blue fire and has a bull on the front .. And jet fighter dash has gotta be the top choice.  :thumb:
