Twin Air 500 So funny...
« on: January 22, 2012, 10:39:46 AM »
This made me laugh so much yesterday i have to tell you all...

I was driving about with the kids for a hour as you do  :thumb: and i noticed a 500 follwing me and as i looked it was three youngish lads all laughing and pointing, so i just carried on toodderling along and popping the monza  :thumb: and watching these lads and to be honest i wasnt impressed they were up my rear as close as they were. Anyway after about 1 mile and at a set of red lights up they pull along side of me laughing away. Confused to why they wanted my window down i lowered it to see what they wanted.

This is what dribbled out of there mouths, "hahahahaha hahahaha why have you bought an over priced 500 hahahaha hahahaha we have just been chasing you and you couldnt loose us hahahaha hahahaha"

Well i was gob smacked and i couldn't come back with anything to say i just stared and the lights went green...

Well i guess you all will know what happen next...

There faces turned from laughed to OMG!  :o and to add to there stupid comments my 6 year old and 9 year old waved to them out the back window while they dissapeared...

I love my A500SS and don't like Twin Air's hahahahaha hahahaha

I had a similar one yesterday. traffic lights on red, girl in saxo to my right reving the nuts off it and edging forward, look in mirror clio sport with a group of lads pointing and laughing.
Right let me weigh the situation up. I have my mum in the car she is 72 and Bev sat in the back.
Lights go green girl floors it, i let her get away, oh please dont make me do it, by this time clio gets at side of me, look over, they are all laughing. I take over, press load pedal, my mum lets out a yelp, i think shes ok, so i press pedal abit harder they both dissapeared in the dust.
Next set of lights go red, clio comes past at lights my mum says they havnt even looked at you, i said
i know the damage has been done. Lights go green and they dont want to race anymore ;D, and girl in
saxo and lads in clio pootle away from lights.
Anyway that's enough fun for one day.
Dissclaimer please dont attempt this with your mother in the car, it could be fatal.

WHOOSH BANG!

Well I know that is an 'exclusive' twin air colour but I'm not sure if it comes in other colours. Never studied the twin air spec to be honest....  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wonder what would have happened had they come in the 69hp Abarth-lette that was discussed and mocked here earlier this week?

But good for you to show them a clean pair of heels.

By the sound of it the number of cylinders far exceeded the number of brain cells contained in that Twin Air.

Oh how I'm looking forward to these moments  ;) in less than 2 hours of ownership experienced Audi a1 rage, I don't know what it was but she refused to let me out, massive gap and as soon as I put the indicator on she floored it, wouldn't mind but we were in a queue!
