Use super unleaded, it works out costing only around £1.50-£2 more for a full tank, but your consumption should go up by a couple, so it probably evens out. And the t-jet engines are made to be run on super unleaded, so it really makes a difference, after running it on 3 full tanks you'll probably feel it being smoother, and it definately pops more. Shell v-power or tesco momentum are the two I go for.

Drive your tank nearly empty and then fill up with VPower.  Shell is not only one of the cheapest for great fuel but also one of the best.  I put the VPower in when my tank was barely a quarter full and within minutes I noticed then engine being smoother and the acceleration improving.  The smoother engine by itself did it for me.  Scorpi drinks nothing but VPower, by my choice.  But I do have a conscience.

On the down side,  Shell is in with Huntingdon Life Sciences.  Remember the animals that suffer for the fuel you pump in.  I do every two days. >:( I don't understand why animals have to suffer for fuel.  :thumbd:

They have to test the fuel out on the animals first Carolt otherwise how would we know it was okay to use in our cars?

Always use V-Power if possible. You do get extra mpg, but not sure if it makes up for the extra cost.

I do seem to remember an incident from my youth with a 50cc bike, a round file and some industrial alcohol. This I also can't remember the mpg of (probably because it blew up after the first mile) - but it definately improved the performance.

It does depend on how you drive but it is possible for the extra mpg to outweigh the extra cost of the fuel. Works on some tanks and not in others.
