Has anybody ever wondered why there are nearly 300 members who have never even posted on the forum?... That's around 40% of all Abarthisti members who have never even posted. I just can't understand why somebody would join, then not do anything? Surely they just need deleting? Explain?

This is my first forum. I lurked a while, but only joined when I was ready to write something. I know as a newbie I had very little to contribute in the face of all the established learned members.
I'll wade straight in with the next forum.

This is the first forum that I've joined too. This ones a little different from the rest that I've lurked on. Everyone on here is friendly. On most other forums you get some prat getting all hot and bothered and they start getting personal. Trash talk over the net.... really brave. I joined with nothing of any substance to add to the forum. Glad to report that nothings changed and I'm still not really and help. Besides, you guys and girls are my cavelry against my soon to be non Abrthisti wife Come lurkers...read this and post.

Hi All,
I am also sorry to say that this is my first post partly due to being a shy 30 something and partly because i just enjoyed reading the post and had nothing relevant to add.
Anyway here I am so I might as well tell you that I am the very proud owner of a White AGP that I bought at the end of September. I have got to say that I absolutely love the car and wished I could have bought one ten years ago.
I should also add that I will probably be quiet for the next few weeks as a new baby is due tomorrow and I guess I might be a little busy but at least I managed to give the car a good clean at the weekend.

LOL Oh, yes! See you in a few years Nice to see you posting. I think this will be the third Abarthisti baby to be mentioned. Is that right Stevey? You should have your own Abarthbaby thread. Maybe you can start one off once the little' 'un's here?

Thought I'd say hi also. I'm Mark, from Falkirk, Scotland. I'm a regular poster on a couple of forums, mainly football and computer games ones, and the main reason I don't post here is that I don't own an Abarth! I like the idea of having an Abarth 500 and I've enjoyed spending the last few months reading about the car on the forum. However I've been trying to justify buying one when my current car (Citroen C4 VTR+, 57 plate) does everything I need and I only do around 6,000 miles a year. There's a Fiat dealer two mins from me so there are a few 500's around this area but I've yet to see an Abarth in the metal. I'm wary of going through to Arnold Clark for a look at the Abarth 500 as I've bought a couple of cars after 'just going for a look' . I read the forum every day and have enjoyed getting to know about the car through your posts and maybe one day I will be able to post about my own Abarth. Anyway keep up the good work, it really is a great forum. Mark

Hi Mark Unfortunatley I have no love for most things French, so for me the justification in buying one is that you need rid of the Sh*troen. I say go to Arnold Clark....for a look mind Joking aside, the first time I saw the A500 was on Top Gear. I thought it was a great little car, but at the time, like yourself, couldn't justify buying one.....had just bought (or was hell bent on buying) a punto GT and had tunnel vision towards owing one. A year on. More money down the drain on a second hand Fiat, turbo blown (hey it'd lasted 100k), MOT due, and 2k scrappage available I started looking at the possability of getting a new car. The A500 ticked all the boxes and some. Even if you your not going to own one. Go to the dealership and take some photos of one to put up on the wall at home........every good home needs a picture of an ABARTH on their wall....well that's my thinking anyways. 288 Martin
