uConnect 7" Map Updates

Guys, I've just checked my uConnect system against what should have been updated at the point of purchase (Nov 16) and the Nav system was well out of date.

If you go to Mopar Homepage and read the info it appears that we'll be getting 3 years of updates for FREE!!!, yeap you read that correctly free updates.

You need an 8GB or larger USB stick, register on the site then download the updates. Extract the .zip file locally then copy to the USB (saves a lot of time, trust me).

Go out to the car, start the engine, wait for the nav system to boot and stick the USB in. The screen will tell you your currently installed version and the version on the USB stick, and ask if you want to update it.

If you select to update it, you'll either have the car sitting for just under an hour, or better still use it for an excuse to go for a drive.

Hope someone finds that usefull.

    It appears there might be an issue with this latest update.

    When connected to my android phone via Bluetooth, the head unit keeps turning itself off/rebooting itself.

    I'll be contacting Abarth tomorrow to see what they know, if there is a solution or where to find previous map updates to roll back and see what that does.

    Can anyone get this to work?  All I get after entering my logon details is an error - "Unexpected Runtime Authn Adapter Integration Problem. Please contact your system administrator for assistance regarding this error. Adapter: B2CSM"

    Is this uConnect software update also available to download onto USB?  I've searched around, but can't find anywhere to download it.  I'm a bit reluctant to install the new maps without the uConnect update that fixes the problem you had.

    This is a VERY large update which appears to do more than just a map update. It appears to have resolved some issues that a lot of the 500X owners were also having. You'll need a decent sized USB stick of at least 8GB, as the file you download is 7.6GB.

    Also make sure you've got the latest android or Apple app version.

    Struggling to get in the web site to get updates - it refuses my VIN.

    The car is a couple of weeks old - I assume that they have a register of the VIN by now somewhere centrally?

    It looks like the maps are from 2015 on the brand new car so want to update them as some roads from 2016 do not appear to be on the maps yet ...

    I think you're correct that it might take a week or two for the VIN to work its way around the different systems.

    The latest download is from November 16, so a bit newer but not like mine which was dated as sometime in 2014.

    Give it a week or two and maybe try again, failing that drop me a PM and we can sort out getting a USB stick either dropped in the post or maybe have a meet up.

    Have the same issue that it rejects my VIN

    Contacted Abarth support so lets see what they say

    I updated my maps on my year old comp a couple of weeks ago so the system is working. As mentioned before it may take a while to update with new VINs. Latest map is March 17 so another must be due soon, they say there should be an update every 3 months.

    Just spoke to Abarth support in Italy and they told me that the dealer have to enter first date of warrenty into the system to enable this feature. My car is still at the dealer, waiting 3-4 weeks for the German registration to go through, something that only take 30 min in other countries I lived in

    Anyone know how to force the initial small update?

    Mine keeps failing and I assume it is based on bad mobile connection, so I wanted to find a good spot and the do the update but I don't know how to get it to pop up?
