16 or 17"

Looking at getting some new wheels (most likely pro race 1.2).
Now, do I get 16" or 17"?
Any pics would help, doesn't have to be the pro race's.

    I choose to opt for the factory 16" wheels because everybody at the time seemed to be going for Petals and the chrome 17" option and to a point Im still a fan of the factory 16" wheel...

    But what the 16" highlights is the rubbish stance that the factory car has, it doesnt seem to be as noticable with the 17"s

    Im currently looking at upgrading to 17"s and Ive got to budget for tyres as well lol

    If you have 17"s on the car and the tyres are in good treat just go for a 17" wheel package, if your running 16"s Id still go for the 17" wheel tyre combo paqckage as the car will look better on aftermarket 17"s than 16"s unless your going for a euro/stance style wheel and are going to drop it to the deck

    Go for the OZ Allegerita wheels and Toyo tyres. These wheels are super light and strong and do a huge amount to improve the handling. Can't rate them highly enough.

    Well its not the euro style im going for but the car is on coilovers so the stance is not an issue. I was thinking of a motorsports/ rally style with the Oz super...whatever they are called. Really stuck on this one at the minute!

    Motorsport look does seem to suit the A500 even more so if you got stripes that tie up with same colour as the wheels :thumb:

    There was a member on here who had a White A500 with 16" Speedlines in GunMetal but I tried to find the thread a few weeks ago but I cant find it for love or money.

    What size factory wheel you running at present?

    17" petals are on at the moment. All four tyres need replacing shortly.

    most people either keep std wheels or get after market 17s :thumb:
    i dont know of any one with after market 16s
    but they are popular on the fiat 500 opposed to the Abarth 500

    I was orignally going to go for a 16" wheel & use my tyres off my factory wheel, but ended up knocking that idea on the head.
    16"s can look fine when the right height is dropped and levelled out (NPs tend to sit arse high to start with)

    Look around, find a wheel you like, then weigh up if its cheaper to go for a wheel & tyre package or just wheels & sourch your new tyres else where & just get them fitted & balanced anywhere.

    Its worth doing your homework as there can be a saving
