It's been a while since I posted here...hope all are doing good.

I have a 2008 Abarth 500 esseesse and need to replace the rotors. I'm buying and getting a mechanic to fit them for me.

The car is not tracked so just normal use...What disc rotors should I go for and where is the best value to buy in the UK please?

I've noted a few on here recommend Stock Brembo GT esseesse discs along with EBC Yellowstuff pads...I assume that this is the standard Abarth 500 rotors?

BTW, if anyone recognises me from around the 2008-2010 period, yep same Abarth...now with over 120k on the clock and has been a very reliable little motor.

I’ve not been here for a while either, I don’t know why - perhaps it’s because I’d heard all the questions before. My ‘09 managed about 107k before some one nicked it. I’d just got a new 595 with all the boxes ticked and hadn’t even got the for sale sign printed.
I’m just coming to the end of my 27k service package on the new one and starting to nose around for new pads. I can’t offer much advice on pads/discs for 500 but think I ended up with pagid ones.
I should sell my beloved 16s; they won’t fit over the Brembo even for winter wheels. Probably going for Brembo pads all round, from TMC.

I'm now looking for the front discs/pads and both front lower control arms as the bushes have gone and apparently false economy to just re-bush. Having said this my 500 esseesse has now done circa 128k so cannot complain really.

I'm thinking the original parts should be cheaper buying from Eurocarparts or CarPartsforless.

Where do you buy your parts from please?

 did buy some of their pads too but they are, i would say, average performers. They do get better with a bit of heat in them though. I then changed to EBC Yellow and i would say these were an improvement.

Rotors wise though take a look, if your running the standard bosch set up, they do a selection of designs and coatings. I'm not a fan of drilled discs as its imho a old technology that actually causes cracking and micro fractures and was designed for the race track where you might only race them for a weekend and then chuck them. So i plumed for grooved and dimpled. Solid disks are supposed to be the best for general driving from what i've read and heard but for spirited driving once the brakes get hot you start to get more fade as they cant disapate the gasses that built up between the pad and rotor as well. One thing i'll say about the EBC's tho0ugh is they produce more dust than the OEM pads which i think were brembo and the MTEC's. I've not used anything from other brands like Pagid but like most times you go looking for these things they all ahve there fans and detractors
