Help please for a Remap for my 595 comp under 1K mileage
« on: December 14, 2015, 08:05:15 am »
Hi , my 595 Competizione 180 finally arrived , and I install a forge mount (intercooler) and a de cat , when the car has just 250 km ! Now I have 750 km and I will make a remap because there is a light of check engine because of the de cat . Is it ok to make a remap ? Can this create any problem to the engine ? I haven't run my car more than 3K rpm yet , and I will change my oil and oil filter before 1K km . Does anyone experienced these kind of mods this early ?

With them mods I would be having it mapped right away so that everything is working together and correctly.

Not sure why you haven't been above 3k rpm? Ours was warmed up when we collected it with 7 miles on the clock and then driven hard from day 1. Now with just over 1000 miles on the clock its going well, hasn't used a drop of oil etc. Made 179.4bhp and 216 ftlbs yesterday as well on the rollers, completely standard at the moment.

Thanks Benn for the reply , so as soon as I make the remap i could run it through 5.5 k rpm ? Will it be ok with the map ? Because now with the front mount and the de cat , it seems that i lost power because the car was mapped to run with the stock parts . Is it normal to fell it slower with the mods than with stock ? Or it just need to remap it ?

Yeah my bets would be you have probably made it worse currently due to fitting the fmic and decat when it is currently mapped for the standard twin side mounts and the cat being in situation.

So its probably flowing a lot more cool air and over fueling due to the decat. A remap will sort all of this for you and tie all the modifications together.

Revving past 5.5k wont be an issue when mapped and it probably wouldn't be an issue now depending on how its currently fueling. Ours has been revved up to 6.5k-7k already  :thumb:
