Folks,

Now I've changed the springs + rear shocks I'm looking to get the alignment checked. Anyone recommend anywhere in the Midlands? Anything in particular that I need to look out for / has anyone had any issues?

Demon Tweeks (nr Wrexham) have got some pretty decent equipment for setting suspension/steering geometry

Thanks, prob a bit far but would be a good excuse for a drive out.

Have sent off for a quote from Chemix in Halesowen... seem to be pretty serious alignment guys... anyone heard of them?

No, not heard of them, sorry.

I've used Demon Tweeks a couple of times with my Impreza and always been happy with the results.

I'm sure someone can recommend somewhere closer to home for you if DT's a bit far

Chemix have quoted me. Check & Adjustment Â£35.94 inc vat. Does that about right?

Do alignment places tend to go from book figures or tweak things according to what the driver wants from the car?

That seems pretty reasonable. Chances are they won't have the settings for the Abarth. I gave the guys who aligned mine my own settings, but you might want to check what the factory settings should be...

Also, if the rear alignment is out, then it's not just a case of adjusting a track-rod, as there isn't one. You might have to have shims made up for the hubs...
