Autodab FT1 help
« on: August 22, 2016, 11:08:59 pm »
Hi guys,

Just installed the FT1 DAB radio adapter in my Abarth 500. It's a bit clunky to use but the quality of the Audio is so much better and definitely a cleaner look than having wires all of the dashboard.

However, I've got a problem that it seems no one else has. When I turn off the ignition it factory resets and loses all of the presets and does a full scan again. It's a real pain.

Any thoughts? I'm guessing it's an ignition live/permanent live issue?

Funnily enough I was just looking at these last night and wondering if anyone had fitted one. Do you get plenty of channels? Is it easy enough to hide all the cabling etc?

What factory resets, the DAB part of it or the whole radio so you lose all FM channels etc?

    Just the DAB bit resets.

Yeah very easy to install. Just a case of pulling the stereo out and plugging it all in. Fitting the aerial to the glass and running the cable back to the box.

Reply from the autodab people is you need to leave it 5 minutes for the CAN to turn itself off, then it'll save the settings.

Think I will invest in it, all its missing is DAB so this should be a nice upgrade.

I had the same problem when it was installed in my esseesse.  I believe they swapped two cables and off I went.
