So by the sound of it quite an easy fit. What is it like in use?

Just like the one fitted to my Audi. Very smooth and works just like OEM. Dis-engages if you touch the brake or clutch. Resumes and accelerates as does normal OEM cruise. If it is on and you touch the lever up or down it increases or decreases speed by 1 MPH, if you hold up or down for a few seconds it does it in 10MPH steps.

Maintains speed irrespective of gradient up and works in all gears. If you are in the wrong gear it bleeps twice and cruise switches off so as not to overrev or labour the engine. They have developed their own software and it seems to work very well indeed.

It came with the CM4 lever which has 2 extra speed hold buttons. This option is normally £25 extra (on top of the £530 normally elsewhere) and they included it at no extra cost. It also have the facility to program it to work more agressively etc (how hard it accelerates while set) and they have different software for different engines and whether auto or manual.

The other good news is you can take it with you if you change car.

The info they sent me looked as if they had worked on making it as good as OEM.

We were looking at a group buy, unfortunately we did not get enough takers :thumbd:

I contacted these guys last year on ebay and was offered the unit at £350 delivered. He claimed they could do it at that price because they didn't have to fit it so I don't understand why they want more than this if buying 10.

Surely there is bound to be someone in the world who can make one for about £200-£250 like every other car manufacturer

My post didn't work so here goes again. I saw the previous posts and figured £380 was fair for a 1 off removing the Fleabay fees etc. that why I thought it good to pass on.

£350 last year is about right as £380 this year. Pizza prices have gone up more than this...;)

I am happy. £250 would be nice, but then would Abarth offering it as standard as they do on the new 500L
If the manufacturer wants £250 for this option, then for someone to have worked it out to offer an aftermarket kit then it's a pretty fair price. It's quite a comprehensive bit of kit with looms and control box and stalk and all very high quality. I do wonder how long they will be offering it for as the new cars will surely come with it installed, thats why I got the wife's drive done now.

Any one thought about a discount with a group buy?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-500-ABARTH-500-OEM-Pro-Quality-CRUISE-CONTROL-Inc-Fitting-/281051421504?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item416ff85b40

I think this is now dead in the water.
    a. not enough takers and
    b. too restrictive in the ordering procedure.

Seems to be coming down in price anyway :thumb:
