Title: Double Din Vent Question
Post by: efrainquijada on September 08, 2016, 11:51:23 pm
I was thinking of getting this in-dash kit, but i have a concern. I live in Arizona where the summers are typically 115f/46c, and I'm afraid the smaller vents will diminish the cooling of the A/C. If anyone has any experience in regards to the vents, I would really appreciate your input. Thanks.

Paging Justin Read, who has the same, we both live in Sydney. He can probably describe how it is in hot weather.

I cant comment about the heat you experience, but when I installed mine where I had to cut back the OE pipework, I then used a gorilla (gaffa in the UK) tape to close off any air escaping and then forcing it to come out of those vents.

Hey.

Just did this upgrade.

Same response as Fish, I used a little Gorilla tape to ensure the "U" shaped plate adapters were tight.

I can't tell any difference in terms of air flow from before and after so must have done something right.

I added a Kenwood DNX unit, transforms the look of the car.

Also added a rear view camera hooked into the unit.

Fitting the camera and hooking up the cables for Blue&Me was a pain though, you need to remove seats and panels which was easy but time consuming.

Cheers.
