Gear Knob by "BLACK"
« on: May 27, 2011, 04:27:14 am »
I am interested in possibly replacing the original gear knob with this little number below from the Italian Accessories Company “BLACK”

The thing that I am not convinced is this – just looking at that photo and comparing to the original item it appears that it is quite a deal shorter.  I am a wee bit worried that there maybe a bit of exposed gear shaft between the new knob and the gear gaiter.  But on the other hand there appears to be quiet a deal of slack material so it may not be an issue

Help – anyone ??

OH – if you like this it also comes in white (with a black emblem) and red (with a white emblem)

Cheers
So Loving Ruby

I'm not sure the swap over will be easy.

Scorpion looks a little strange on there?

Do a search to find out how to remove the standard knob, there are a few topics floating around  :thumb:

Pretty sure you have to change the gaiter the same time as the knob. I was looking into this at one time but I've got the upgrade so with how much it would cost I just left it.

Is there a website for "BLACK" car knobs. Not had any luck on google finding them.

I like the "Black" gear knobs and wanted to see who sells them in the UK etc and see what other things they do but can't find a website for them at all.

Just ordered this one. Arrives next week !

Anybody got any idea where I can get an alcantara gaiter, like the one in the photo. I think it looks great. Can't seem to see anybody selling them online.

Check out Redline Goods, they can make you a custom shifter boot.

How hard is it to change the stock gear knob to the competition one?
