Headlight Upgrade Suggestions
« on: May 06, 2020, 03:58:48 pm »
So I'm looking to upgrade the standard headlights on my 500 and have been looking at a few options as I would like to get some nicer looking projectors. I already have some Osram Nightbreaker bulbs which are excellent for light, but fancy upgrading the visuals too. Any suggestions as to whether to go for the ones from the facelift model Fiat and Abarth 500 as they can be found on eBay now and again and I've read other posts to suggest they are simply plug and play? Or are there other recommended options out there that are better? Anyone else done something similar?

Assuming you have a S3, the S4 lights are almost plug’n’play. You’ll have to (very carefully) move the AC pipes back slightly on the o/s and trim the fuse box on the n/s. If you need to change the bulbs at any point, it’s a headlight out job, given the available space.
I’ve done the mod and the S4 lights are better in my opinion, however the projector lens is diffused, which limits the throw of the bulb somewhat.
I’ve replaced the actual projectors in mine for a set with clear lenses. The output is amazing!
It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt!
