HELP PLEASE!!! Boost problem
« on: May 08, 2020, 09:40:10 am »
Hello,

I'm new to the forum but I have looked though and can't find anyone else that has experienced the same boost problem that I am experiencing.

I own a 595 Turismo, love it but recently it has been suffering from some sort of boost drop or boost lock out. When I'm driving and go to put the foot down the boost pressure get stuck at 0.4 bar and doesn't get any higher but as soon as I let the foot off the acceleration and then immediately put it back on again it boost up to 1 bar (1.2 in sport mode). Some times when the turbo pressure is up at 0.8 bar it will drop down to 0.4 bar and get stuck.

Anyone know what is going on? Any one experienced this? And if so what was the problem?

Recently had a split vacuum hose but that is fixed now and I have been looking for fresh splits ever since but there's nothing there.

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi and welcome

We had trouble with our 64 plate Turismo and it was sorted out by replacing a lambda sensor. Since then all has been well.

Thanks for the reply, was your car having the same symptoms as mine has been experiencing? And did that bring on a engine light as my engine light has never came on?

    Thanks

Yes engine light can on but only intermittently. I am sorry to say it did take a few trips to the dealer to sort out.
