I take it these are for the A500!
Very interested to see how you get on with them. keep us informed.

I'm quite interested in these.... would also be interested to hear how you get on/ride quality, etc.  Anyone know if they have the same number of coils as the originals?

Original springs have very few coils  ;) - watch this for confirmation (warning: not pretty):

I think the front end of the stock A500 is loose....and the esseesse kit overpriced.  Admit I used to race but I am starting by trying to sort this issue.  esseesse lowering is -10mm/-10mm according to the dealers whereas H&R also looks at adjusting the nose down stance too.

FYI in my opinion brakes to match/better esseesse kit not an expensive issue and hate the esseesse wheels.  Tuning will be also strategic since fun is paramount because blowing away any half decent hot hatch will be hard work (my R32 is in a different league as are the Porsches some forum members have...and I dont have at present :( ).

Please dont forget this is an irresistable car of passion but still very cheap car, based on a Ford Ka, not an over engineered Porsche, so stock items will tend to reflect this.

Whatever, I am excited about this mad little car and can't really explain why!!!!

its not based on a ford ka, ka and 500 both come from the fiat panda, which makes me smile for some reason

Original springs have very few coils  ;)

Reason I ask about the coils is for the ride quality. As far as I'm aware, if the replacement springs have the same no of coils, the ride quality should be fairly similar, if also using stock shocks.

sincerely hope it isn't similar!  Looking for better turn in and am in the lucky position that long distance comfort is not a prerequisite...  Hear that the compromise that H&R offer over other aftermarket springs might tick most boxes but let's see.
