Follow up too boost issues
« on: July 06, 2014, 12:54:03 pm »
One minute the car was boosting at 1.0bar the next it was 1.6bar!!! Changed the boost solenoid and fitted another boost gauge and before hand roaded at 177.8bhp and yesterday roaded at 174.6bhp (was 24c air temp though) so if anybody has the same issue of one minute the car is boosting perfectly the next it's over boosting or not boosting hardly anything change that first and see how you get on, was about £90 from fiat so not drastic and was a easy job! Hope this helps anybody out!

Mine did this briefly after putting non 99 octane fuel in it once - after a couple of journeys it settled down and has been fine, I figured it was reconfiguring itself to the new fuel...

I always run mine on 99 or 98, really hates it if I don't :( yeah it's awful if the boost plays up like mine did

Mine is doing this at the moment but my max boost is 1.0 (trofeo) but when is does occur I can get more than 0.4 boost and the car is dead. Sometimes last mins or times an hour or so. Happened three times in three months, even after removing the tuning box it still occurred. Don't have a clue where to start. Vehicle still has warranty but I'll have to remove my intake hose and put it back to standard lol.
