Did any one adjust the lights up a bit, as the car is lowered, I'm sure the light beam is to low, I couldn't see much on the roads last night!!

Can't say I've noticed any difference since the SS springs went on

Hello Chris555. I see that you've gone from FSD's (which I know you find impressive) to FSD's plus SS springs. Forgive me if I've missed another thread on the subject, but do you have any comments re. the improvement/possible disadvantages of adding the springs? Thank you.  :)

Dave Quinn also has this setup on his monster, as I believe does my 695. It works well and looks good. I must admit that I was very impressed with Joe's setup as it remained rock steady, low and level, even when being ragged across the evo triangle :thumb:

    I agree. Mine - SS/FSD's = great. Joe's is a brilliant alternative.  :thumb:

It was indeed a drive in a 695 that prompted the extra suspension work on my car

After I had them fitted I took the car on a drive I knew would give a proper handling test, really rough roads with lots of very tight bends. I would say due to the improvement in the ride and handling, point to point its now probably faster than a non-koni'd SS. Simply because with the full set up it it can carry a much higher average speed when it gets bumpy. It still bounces and rattles like a mad un but the SS springs are much better for controlling body roll than the NP and 'on rails' doesn't quite do it justice. It was interesting to see any cars I followed how much wider they had to take bends compared to my car, that felt much safer on the narrow lanes as you don't have to present yourself as a target. The only thing I would say, the NP springs actually make for a slightly better motorway cruiser because of the additional give but its a small price to pay.

The replaced bumpstops now mean if you hit something nasty mid bend your rear end doesn't just freeze up and try and place itself elsewhere on the road with a hop which gives so much more confidence and control. Joe did play a blinder finding those as with some of the roads I was on it still felt like they were meeting the plate not sure I would have been happy without them.

So NP + Koni Handling kit + Coupe bumpstops = one awesome little car

Are these still available and if so are they from stock?
Collected 4Nov11 with just 6 miles on the clock.

Both the full Abarth FSD kit with springs and just the FSDs on their own are available from the shop not sure if they are actually in stock but the lead times are pretty short now.
