I think it's probably a good idea, shame as they weren't cheap and I only just bought them !! You live and learn.

If there is any flaw with the spacers I will gladly take them back, they are made by GTT and I know others here have them on with no problems. I will speak with Roland and see why he thinks the bolts came loose but you won't be expected to pay for something if its not right. Could you have fitted them wrong?

Thanks Daron, I am very confident they were fitted correctly, they were sitting as flat as possible to the hubs and the bolts were all done up tight. I did about 50 miles on them with no problems, but yesterday 3 of the 4 bolts on the near side front came loose. I haven't checked the other 3 wheels as of yet.

I do want to keep the spacers just slightly concerned now that they might cause me to lose a wheel at some point.....

As you can see the front wheel lip is JUST around the spigot of the hub, but theres only a few mm I would say that the wheel rests on, I guess the rest of the strain is all being taken up by the wheel bolts?

Pictures of my top mounts, as you can see one sits further forward than the other, as trooper suggests this must surely be because the off side top mount is on wrong? (the one closer towards the engine bay)

As far as the spacers go you must make sure the spigot ring fits over the hub center. You must also make sure the bolts are longer to compensate for the spacer. Make sure you torque up all the bolts correctly and as you tighten them and tighten them progressively in a 12,6,9,3 pattern.

How thick are the spacers you bought?

I'm not sure from the big close-up photo but is that a spigot ring? It should be secured to the wheel with a 'snap ring-spring.'

Hippo, they fit over but hardly a great deal, you can't really see it in the photos unfortunately. as you might be able to make out the lips of the inner wheel just fit over the hub. The bolts are longer and are the correct size, the spacers are 6mm but they are flat as you can see not hub eccentric. I am tempted to leave them and try one last time, see if the bolts stay up tight, and check them in a couple of days, but I concerned they might come out slowly over time. Hmmm :/

Thanks tez, I am certain we fitted my offside top mount the wrong way around, plus it does pull ever so slightly to the right when driving now  :-\

All in all I haven't been that successful but it looks great when stationary  :thumb:  ;D

I have been very happy with my level 2 kit, but mine is without an induction kit as I prefer it this way. Still get very reasonable fuel economy (42MPG odd at the moment over the last 500 miles) and it goes really well. I don't know how much bhp it produces as I have never had it on a RR.

Okay as long as the wheel is absolutely held central. Even a fraction of play could cause stress on the bolts. I might give someone who can give better advice (than me) a call. Perhaps John from GTT. I know they made spacers and will obviously know what questions to ask you to make sure you are safe.

I just read on the other thread that the spacers are from GTT. I would have full confidence that they would be fine.  :thumb:

Thanks Hippo, I have never had any problems with any of GTT's work, I know they have been making spacers for a long time for many different cars. I will keep them on for now and try to make check them occasionally to make sure they have not loosened. Thanks for your help again.

I feel your pain. My wheels nearly fell off after the bolts worked very loose (after a track day).

The noise was horrendous, my initial thought was that a drive shaft had snapped or something  :-\

    Glad you've sorted it!
