LED DRLs & Side Lights
« on: May 31, 2017, 09:20:32 am »
Our 2014 (S2 I think?) 500 has standard fillamant bulbs for DRL & side lights.

Has anyone upgraded these for LEDs? If so it is simply a case of replacing the standard bulbs with LED versions or will that cause canbus issues?

Hoping for some advice!

Easiest thing to do is replace the standard bulbs with PIAA Capless T20 7443 Super Bright 27/8W Output H226. You will not have canbus errors

Thanks for this. I've had PIAA bulbs before and really rate them. However, I believe they still look yellow-ish like a standard bulb when compared against a car with LEDs.

Are full LED bulbs a non-starter?

    Hi.

I have just ordered the rear series 4 lights for my series 3 Abarth 595 Comp from this guy here http://www.ms-r.co.uk/store/p193/Plug_n_Play_Series_4_Lamp_Kit_for_Series_3.html

I have ordered lots of other stuff from him, and I am eagerly awaiting the availability date of the LED DRL's from him for our series 3 Abarths.

    Hope this helps.

Let us know of your experience after you fit the series 4 lights, I am interested in doing the same!

Will do. Just awaiting delivery. He's been inundated with orders for these lights amongst other things.

I also ordered two additional "Competizione" badges to go on the side of the car below the shield badge and the "595" numbers, I'll pop some pictures up when it's all on.
