Seat weight
« on: July 31, 2009, 11:03:53 pm »
All,

Does anyone know the weight of a standard Abarth 500 front seat?

Thanks,
LL
As Keith Richards tells it, Jones came up with the name "The Rollin' Stones" (later with the 'g') while on the phone with a venue owner. "The voice on the other end of the line obviously said, 'What are you called?' Panic. The Best of Muddy Waters album was lying on the floor—and track one was 'Rollin' Stone Blues'".

To answer the second respondent, a farkin lot as I'm a big fat git!  ;D

I want to know how much a stock seat weighs so I can compare to an OMP seat I have my eye on.

Seeing as John is such a top bloke maybe he will tell me how much the new sports seat weighs?

Have you lifted it? I would guess it's somewhere around 25+ KG?

    Lewis!?

I'm going to have to be the first to ask what seat are you looking at?

Haven't decided yet on a specific seat. I'm checking out the mounting systems first but likely to either be the fibreglass WRC or the cf HTS dependant on fit. I've had similar ones to the HTS in one of my other cars. The lightest seats are about 5.8kg each so <  12kg for the pair. I'm intending to make a mad little Abarth and track it every now and then.
