I've never read about anyone having it on here... probably because the GT1446 is better for day to day use and cheaper

500 can handle a 1446 as it was designed for that engine.
And mine is a 200+.
Best result 227 bhp.

this is the turbo i am thinking of getting

Engine Performance Kit Abarth 500 230+. Custom built turbocharger with a size slightly larger than the hybrid version, offering the best performance in middle and high revs where it continues to pull strongly to red line. Thanks to technology on double bearings it offers a good spool even at low revs; like all our products and all specifications of this turbocharger (I.e. turbocharger rotors) have been studied and optimized following bench tests and road tests. This turbocharger can reach about 230-240 bhp but you can go to 250-260 bhp with more boost pressure.

i believe his name is paul 501, he's had experience of this kit which he got fitted by roland at GTT (the company that first put together the package -) i think the turbo used is a garrett gt2056 - quite a bit larger than the 1446 - that 14/20 bit corresponds to the type of exhaust housing and tubine diameter, while the 46/56 bit corresponds to the compressors exducer diameter -

i've got a dyno graph somewhere which was posted by GTT after initial testing (with powermist meth kit) - drivers like a normal(ish) 1.4 until circa 3k(110 ftlbs of torque) when the turbo comes on and reaches peak torque at 4.2k (260 ftlbs of torque) and the scorpion starts stinging

thanks griffs

i have found his thread and have sent a pm

i like the lag in some ways  and i want the car to pull harder and harder to the red line :thumb:

i had a 2 stoke bike and it had no power below 8000rpm and then had 30hp to 12000rpm  with the power valve locked open

lots of fun

Dan why don't you come to an Abarth track day and you can see the difference.
Have you ever seen lager louts 300+ car

mint idea
when is the next abarth track day when i can see the difference between a gt1446 car and the bigger turbo

if i had the money i would go in to the engine and fit cams rods and pistons

and do a mild port job  300hp  but i might be a bit much for a road car that may not see a track

if i fit this turbo and want more power i can fit the bits inside the engine and bump up the pressure to get more power

as the car is a daily driver i dont want a car with 300hp and a power band witch is just 1500rpm  at the top of the revs

i would like to have good power from 3000rpm and building all the way up to the red line

but the standard turbo is to small and  starts at 1500rpm runs out of puff at 4500rpm

so far the plan is to fit the 230+kit and the new clutch and the lsd and the bilstien kit at the same time

so it will be finished done and dusted apart from the odd little bits like the carbon skinning witch i am going to try and may by some carbon brake disks and pads if i can save enough money

should handle well and go like stink

Are you on the standard clutch and does the MTA box use the same clutch as for the manual cars?
