Sorry for bumping this thread!

But I've just ordered my bump stops from ebay and I'm going to get them fitted next week!  After reading all of your reviews, they sound like just what I need. Hopefully meaning I can put the Konis on hold and get all of other mods done first :D

Isn't it necessary to upgrade the bump stops in front axle? ???

So what is the difference between these new bump stops and the standard ones? More clearance or something? Just curious how a bump stop can improve a ride so much is all.....Not trying to put a downer on the topic, more so curious, if it is worth while doing this, I will get them changed also.

The standard bump stops are too big, they pretty much sit bottomed out. So any big bumps etc its not great over.

The new ones are shorter and allow more suspension travel. So over big bumps or when carrying rear passengers its a lot better.

Its still like being punched in the back of the head like all Abarths, but a more comfortable punch haha!

Lol I thought that must be the case, I noticed the other day when I was under my car, there was about 10-15mm gap between the bump stop and the shock.....makes sense, Might order myself some then!

    Thanks for the reply!

I have a 2017 Series 4 595 (base model), will this have revised bump stops compared to the pre facelift model or have they remained the same?

The coupe bump stops are still much shorter, I've fitted them on mine after lowering it.

Hello All, just done the bump stop mod to my 595 base model, and after driving it for a short while it feels a little bit weird, like the rear suspension is actually working :-)

Had a new rear axle fitted on our Abarth 500C ( up rated imaxles unit ) and coupé bumpstops. Wow, what a difference. No crashing noises and the rear end is much more poised. Axle nicely finished and hopefully will not have to worry about the tin worm for a while!
