Hi Guys, I have another recent post regarding me ruining my ride with standard shocks and eibach springs. Where can i get these bump stops from, do I need just for rear or fronts too, and can any mechanic fit them?

great post by the way I cant wait to do these and possibly change all for koni fsd but which springs will be the best for smooth back street driving and also firm for cornering

This is what you need x2 - and yes, any garage can fit them. It's a really easy job, you could even do it yourself if you're that way inclined - I'm not, hence using a garage.

I bet once you've done this, the Koni's drop off your 'must do' list. Let me know how you get on  :thumb:

Nice, ordered !! its the fiat coupe right? Shame we cant do anything to the front as thats where all the bang seems to come from and the eibach's lower the front more than the back.

Surprised you think that...the 500 as standard sits higher on the back end, and with Eibachs fitted it levels the car out :thumb:

If I remember correctly,  you get new front bumpstops with the Eibachs springs too ;D

I am still convinced I have the eibach sports on instead of the pro's . They are red not black but apparently the abarths are one of  few cars that the pro's are red. It has leveled it slightly, the front however is lower. A bit too low for my liking. Rear sits perfect.

Can t wait to put these bump stops on and really want to upgrade to koni with either the springs TMC supply or these Eibachs. I wish i knew which would be the better comfort ride but still firm . I need to get this right before I change from 16" alloys to 17" with possible lower profile which I dont want to do. 45 profile on 17" would be great but not sure if they will rub. Then I will inform my insurance company about Upgraded Suspension ,larger wheels and possible exhaust

Ahhhh...think we just had a small communication error...yes, the front wil stlll sit lower than the back, but the back is 'lowered' more :thumb:

For what it's worth, my old car with standard dampers, eibach pros, and no bump stops gave a much harsher ride than my 595 running the standard konis dampers/brembo springs set up....it was certainly better in the twisties though :thumb:

Yes, Ive just ordered some too... Check your back coils the gap between the bump stop and spring base is about a thumbs width, Konis are a HUGEEEEEE improvment over standard set up but still a little bouncy on the rear when it gets bumpy, also not even hard breaking (in my eyes) will cause the hazards to flash.

Just to add to the chorus of approval for the coupe bump stops...

The ride is still firm, but as an earlier poster said, you can actually feel the rear springs working after the mod. No more bangs.

Two bump stops were £44 from Partsworld on eBay. Had Arnold Clark in Perth fit them while having first MOT done. Charged me £66 all in to fit.

    Delighted of Pitlochry..!

I know this has probably been asked but are the bump stops fine to kit onto an 'SS' with the Koni's already fitted? Has anyone gained experience of this and its potential improvement?

Mine were fitted while Esseesse Koni kit was mounted. Totally fine! I can't imagine having there original bump stops as there would be no place left for suspension travel. Here you have some post-fitting photos. On the first photo the suspension is lifted, on second one it is loaded:

My car is an esseesse, bump stops change is no problem, I'd say
even more important Zander useful to fit.

Mystery is why the coupe parts are not just in the esseesse kit box anyway..?

So far so good mate. I've moved area recently and roads are abysmal. So much so that I'm actually thinking about selling the car. Not even a set of Koni's would make it bearable :(

I would also agree that these have handled all the weather and lots of miles so far. No problems with them and to be honest for the price are really really worth it. I was hesitant at whether they made much of a difference but after a few miles in them you can tell!!!! They SHOULD BE standard kit on Esseesse.

Nice little thread for a nice little Mod. I just picked up my A500 on a 13 plate last week. Much is made of suspension set up on these, am i right in thinking that the suspension / shocks were revised on 12/13 plate over previous models or am i imagining that.

Also would I be right in thinking that fitting the Coupe Bump stops would/could preserve the life of the shocks?

    Cheers for any replys.
