0-60's?
« on: March 19, 2013, 12:18:37 am »
Just curious to see whether anyone has done any 0-60's and what the outcomes were?

I did my first one the other day and clocked it at approx 7.2s

    F**k me that's a blistering launch!!  :o

I have an app on the iOS that will do 0-60 but not used it yet, hasn't been dry enough.

Looks quick. Is that in an SS or a standard car?

So how do people get the best launch. I have to be pretty gentle thru 1st and second or its wheel spin city.

It's just the standard A500. I bought it used and am wondering whether its been remapped or not? Think I might get it checked out as I've been thinking about getting it done. I've seen 7.6 on Parkers Webb but they seem to differ between sites so god knows!? Have you got TTC on when you launch Retro? I find that it all depends on the surface conditions. 90% dry, TTC on, away you go! :)

an australian car reviewer just recorded a 6.6sec 0 - 100kmh from an esseessse spec car.

Search youtube for "2013 Fiat 500 Abarth Esseesse engine sound and 0-100km/h acceleration".
There is a decent video to watch and listen to of the esseesse accelerating.

    Love the exhaust pop!!!!

    25% slip, 75% grip  :thumb:

Wasn't there someone on here that claimed their standard car did 5 point something to 60 (and got coated for it)  ;D

I usually hold onto the clutch a little bit longer otherwise I'm all slip! Had gotten into the habit of dropping the clutch way too soon when attempting a launch... I'm interested to see other people's methods/tricks!

Crikey! Got my work cut out this Sunday

I only have distance measurements (https://www.abarthforum.co.uk/meets-and-events/santa-pod-fast-show/msg270021/#msg270021), but will take some notes and see how my car fares this weekend.
