Ok so update, the dealer has come back and told me 1. The tyre pressure monitoring kit does not come with my car as it is discontinued and 2. They spoke to Fiat Chrysler head office and they came back and said my car was never fitted with the TPMS nor was it supposed to come with the car, (even though the dealer searched my VIN through their system and it says that its equipped with it) The car obviously does not have it. Im gonna call this a case closed, theres nothing else i can do. I have a cold start issue ontop of that which the dealer cant fix from day one, I'm never buying another Fiat again.

Heard about start issues in OZ before. Are you running the car with the advised premium fuel with the higher RON rating?

    Thanks for the update.

Sounds like you have had a bit of a false start. Although my first one almost literally fell apart, ha ha, I had a dodgy battery, water pump leak, boost leak, electrical faults and all sorts FROM NEW. On my second one now and it's been an absolute beauty so far (just had to get a new exhaust) so I think it's a bit of a raffle what you end up with sometimes, there are more happy owners on here however than unhappy ones and all I can say is thank god for a warranty on these things. Once your problems get sorted you will start to feel better, I'm super patient and I have a fantastic dealer so for me it was a case of just getting though the storm really.

That sucks man, good to see things got better for you and yes thank god for warrenty, just unfortunate for me as the service i got was pretty poor.

Mate im running the car on Shell V Power (98) from now on because theres been a noticeable increase in power when running this as apposed to BP Ultimate which felt the same as running 95. if i put 10ltrs of 91 and then the rest with 95, it WILL cold start first go but the car feels slugish to drive which i dont like. Apparently theres no fix from Fiat for this.

They are designed to run on at least 97 RON I believe. Anything under that and they can get engine/start issues. V power here and I have noticed a huge difference, especially as mines is mapped for vpower. Back and forward to work, averaging 41-43 mpg a few weeks ago on standard fuel to save money on the commute to work (60 miles per day). Last week and this week, nothing but Vpower. Same time, same traffic, same driving style and I averaged 46mpg last week and currently sitting at 50.2mpg so far this week.

Car is away more responsive on the premium stuff also.
