« on: April 05, 2016, 05:45:46 pm »
My 180 comp with mta box is not well. Keeps getting stuck in gear and red warning message " get transmission checked" only 5 months old and only 3 k on the clock... Had to push it off the dual carriage way today With abarth dealer now. Waiting to see what wrong in next few days.   :thumbd:

That doesn't sound much fun at all!  Much too young to have such problems.  I do hope they can sort it out for you without too much more trouble than you have had already!

Thanks. Well it's got a leak and fault on the gear selector mechanism and needs a new part that's been ordered . Hopefully get it back in the next week.

Do you have more info on this please?

Currently got my car having issues not selecting gear above 2nd no warning lights/indications to alert of issue. Wondering if this update will help but would be good to know more

Also very interested in this. My transmission has had a few moments where it hasn't shifted up/down as expected (once when doing 160kmh on track, was fun).

karlb123 how old is your car? Has the transmission fluid been changed?

The MTA/Dualogic/Selespeed gear box does not have transmission fluid as such.

The actual gearbox is the same as the manual box with the same gearbox oil.

The difference is in the gear selection and clutch actuation, which is achieved by electrically operated solenoids hydraulically moving the clutch arm and gear selectors.  This hydraulic system is totally separate from the gearbox oil.

The calibration of this system is controlled via an ECU.
