500 Abarth wheel options
« on: November 21, 2008, 10:37:29 am »
Info is now starting to trickle through, and I can now show you alloy wheel options for the 500. Sorry about the quality of the pics, but it came to me on a word document.

Hidden away in that doc is a shot of the standard vs. leather seats, too.

And for the Word-phobic, I've split out the shot of the wheels.
    Left-to-right, they are: Standard 16" x 6.5J with 195/45 R16, Option 4AY: 17" x 7.5J with 205/40 R17, Option 55E: 17" x 7.5J with 205/40 R17

The 55E wheels look the easiest for cleaning!
The esseesse wheels that I have seen previously look a nightmare. Good job they do them in Titanium

Those 55Es are seriously nice but if I did go fo r a 500A I would stick with the 16" standards

Get 17"s in the Esse Esse pack seems silly to pay twice :)

Are the two 17" options the same price? Will upgrading to 17" wheels made the ride harsher? Can I fit the SS pack at a later date if once I have the car I decide it needs more power? Will the SS pack then make the car too much of a track day car and uncomfortable for everyday driving on British roads?

Talking of British roads, why do the motoring press keep talking about the bad road surfaces in Britain. Yes they're not great, but I have just returned from living in Spain for 8 years and all the roads there are terrible. Far far worse than here.

James, you need to come and drive my 2 G.P.Abarths and that will answer most of your questions. Give me a call tommorrow and we will fix a date for you to come and see me. You can upgrade to the Esse Esse kit any time up until the car is 12 months old or 12000 miles which ever come first. The only exclusion to that is that we must test the car first to make sure it hasn't been bounced off the rev limiter for more than 60 seconds. If it has Abarth will not let us upgrade the car.
