Hi 595 Turismo,
Hi fellow 595 Turismo owner. My car went in a second time and they called and said it needed new door seals which were not in stock so would need to come back a 3rd time.I asked why wasn't this diagnosed on the first visit but didn't get a straight answer. So it goes in a third time and I get a call saying not all of the door seals came in so it has to come back a 4th time. Not at all impressed.  the only think that makes it easier is one of the salesmen lives near me so picks it up from my house and leaves his demo(not an abarth a Kia shortage so nice but totally different) When the dealership emailed me asking how I rated them I explained what had happened and how unhappy I am and have asked as a gesture of good will what  is the best discounted price they can do me a monza. Still waiting for a reply and the door seals are on back order.
did you get the wind noise sorted out?  Mine is doing exactly the same thing off the passenger door.  I didn't notice it on my first trip back from the dealership but from the next day on it was definitely there.  I'm going to book it in to be looked at, but I want to finish running the engine in first - no doubt an overly enthusiastic mechanic will go out for a road test come the day it goes in.

Anyway, I just wondered what the outcome was?  Thanks

    That doesn't sound good.
It seems incredible that new cars would require the door seals replacing!
I hope they get the back order sorted soon.  I think I'm going to take mine in after Christmas now.

I know it is annoying but I absolutely love the car. It makes me smile everytime I walk up to it and as soon as I sit in those lovely leather seats I feel on top of the world.

Any updates on this??? I didn't think I had a wind noise problem but It was always raining when I did motorway journeys, after a few longer trips in the dry I seem to have a noise

Checked my door rubbers and yes the inside rubber strip looks short so as it was at the dealers today I asked them to take a look
They cant seem to find a fault and they showed me that every other 500 on site has the same short rubber  ???

Is this a problem with a rubber missing behind the mirror housing? I know this was a problem on other 500's  ???

Still ongoing. The general manager of wessex Abarth phoned me after I said I was not impressed with the service i had received on their customer satisfaction email. Then the sales manager phoned and said he is going to find out why my car has been in 3 times and is still not sorted and will make sure it's fixed when it goes in again. That was 2 weeks ago still waiting.

I'm in two minds as to whether I have extra wind noise - if I do it is very slight but to me it sounds like it could be coming from the new stumpy aerial. Could this be the source of the problem?

Just had a long run in mine over the weekend, put nearly 400miles on and 6 or so hours driving and the wind noise is very noticeable over 50mph. I can't really tell where it is coming from although it does seems to be around the A pillar but I'm not sure. It's certainly louder than my old car and was starting to grind a bit and at times I could hear over the stereo. Just wondered if anybody had any joy with this before I approach the dealer?

Mine is also still doing it. To me it sounds like it is coming from the top left hand corner (if you are standing outside of the car looking at the drivers door). It is doing my head in, so it needs sorting, I just don't know if I want to waste a day booking the car in...

When it is safe to do while driving the car, press the area you think the noise is coming from. See if it gets noisier

Whenever a customer used to complain about wind noise it was always a process of elimination to determine the cause. My first action would be to put tape around the the door and body, covering the gap and see if that made any discernable improvement. If still the same try taping more areas until a difference in noise levels is noticed. Then at least you can tell the dealer where the problem area lies hopefully saving a lot of time the car needs to be left at the dealership.

Whilst driivng the car to work this morning I got the missus to help me find out where it is coming from.

We both agree that (if you are in teh driving seat) it is coming from the bottom of the window, in the corner behind my shoulder. The same on the passenger side. I am summising that this is down to missing rubbers. I can't actually see how the dealer would fix it, as orndering new rubbers would mean that they woudl be the same length. I am going to have a crack at finding out exctly what is missing and see if I can find something to sort it out. Watch this space...
