Mines going to the dealers next week. I did prod around a bit on my way home today and the noise does seem to get a little noisier when I press the rubbers directly behind the wing mirror. I think this weekend I will experiment with the tape and see what happens and hopefully have somthing to show the dealer.

Spent the morning taping up the doors and every other gap I could find and it made no difference to the wind noise what so ever  :(. God knows what the neighbours thought I was doing. Will just have to see what the dealer says later this week.

Hmmm I'm considering removing the aerial to see if it makes any difference, its the only external change i can think of that would do this  ???

Spent the morning at the dealers. They had a tinker, which made no difference, but agreed there was a noticeable noise around the A pillar. Went on a test drive with me sat in the passenger seat for the first time and yes there was a noise over that side as well. Only instead of a buffeting noise this was more of a high pitched whistle kind of noise and coming from over my left shoulder, so totally different location.

Anyway they have ordered a new set of door seals so hopefully this will do the trick. In the meantime I will just have to keep the stereo cranked up. They did say though that they had a couple if issues like this and that another 595 was booked in next week for the same problem, so I guess it's watch this space.

Maybe it's an intentional modification on the 595's to mask the noise of the koni's knocking :-*

I'm going to wessex Bristol tomorrow. I have been told that when my car was in on the third time all the door seals were replaced. The purpose of tomorrow's visit is for me to accompany them on a road test then to take another 595 out to see if any different. If its a case of "they all do that sir" I'm not sure what happens then.

That's what I'm afraid of, but why should the 595 be any different from a 500 they are the same body shell I wouldn't have thought the differences would be that significant. I think I would rather compare to another A500 infact I am, I drove around in one for 3 years and had no such issue. At the end of the day for a £19k + car it ain't good enough.

Our A500 didn't have it and our 595 doesn't appear to have it either (yet). One thing I've noticed is that the 595 seems quieter in the cabin than our A500 was, but that might be that the exhaust note hasn't 'matured' yet?

My little girl was off school ill today so I didn't get to go. I agree with what you say merlot that if another 595 is the same I will ask to take out a 500 and if its quite I will say make mine like that as it's the same bloody car mine just has more power bell's and whistles. I'm getting my magneti marelli bombardone fitted next week so that may drown it out a bit ;D

My new 595 comp is bad drivers side  at about 50mph +   I sat in the passenger side yesterday and let the wife drive and there was very little noise. Slowed down on a bumpy road and heard the rear suspension giving a little knockabout as well.  Also both mats have now unglued themselves from the fasteners. Looks like I may have to book it in for these teething (i hope) problems. having said all that its still the best motor I have ever had  ;D :thumb:

Door seals replaced this morning. Difficult to tell definatively considering the serious amount of wind and gales around at the moment but first impression would be it hasn't worked. Crap!!! Not sure what to do now.

Just noticed it on mine as well, not too bad but still abit annoying.

Any luck on finding a solution here?
