There is a light sensor in the rear view mirror. If the sensor detects a bright light, it electronically tints the rear view mirror to avoid the glare.

Not sure how it works, perhaps Chunky could enlighten us. It does however work very well. Saves grabbing for the little button when someone cant be bothered to dip their lights.

They've been around for years.  It uses an electro-chromic layer over the mirror glass that darkens when a current is applied.

Believe Funk White costs £700 on the standard 500, so should be the same.

You are right, it is £700 on the Fiat 500, but the exchange rate has changed dramatically since then. Hope the dont raise the price.

Well Air hostess orange was £700 quid with the ford ST and that proved popular, so i guess it could with the 500. Would give it a bit of an edge over a standard white one.

Think i'd get black though, really make those white SS alloys stand out.

There is no question that the funk white is absolutley wonderful on the 500, and especally if you thing about the resale value. When you come to change it, it will be very very desirable. Adding mettalic paint to a car does not often affect the P/X, but if I was priceing a used 500 Abarth, I would pay more for one in funk white.

Am i right in saying john that really speccing up a car by havin lots of fancy options does not add overall value to a car only metallic, leather and aircon are the ones that do.All the rest are looked at as its a personal choice. So when you finance it on PCP they really sting your monthly payments with your long option list.

At this moment, no options effect the residual value on a PCP deal. Fiat Financial services are currently looking at changing the GFV when you fit an Esse Esse kit, because at the moment it is just classed as £4000 worth of extras. That is obviously not the case, and they really need to class an Esse Esse is a different model.
I think your point about personal choice is a valid one, but Fiat 500 has done alot to change that. If I have to price a 500 coming back in P/X, although I do use the guide, the options that are fitted have a large bearing on my final decision.

I never thought of a Esse esse as a option although it is. I would class it as a different model. I bet a GPA Esse esse is a killer on PCP at the moment then. No wonder you have to have those well supported chairs in your showroom its maybe for when your givin customers finance figures for an esse esse.... :D ;) :D
