iAndre - Abarth 595 Cabrio 1.4cc 145hp
« on: July 01, 2017, 11:33:42 pm »
Hey guys , so its been almost 10 days since i took my Abarth. Even as a stock it looks, sounds and feels great.
As i've noticed consumption is pretty good for a petrol engine. I've seen much higher consuptions in the VAG group, but in sport mode and over 130++ km/h the consuptions goes way higher than the average.

Also, it's really great at high speeds. Cornering stability feels great with the stock suspension and 16" wheels, but i cannot compare it with the others that using the Koni FSD (great suspension not for daily driving though).

A couple of days ago i made a high speed run on private land to see how it feels in high speeds and the result amazed me. I reached 201 km/h* (i had to brake for obvious reasons since i was running out of tarmac) and i was feeling the car really stiff, plus it could give much more than that. But, in such speeds suspension wasn't as good as i expected (plus the tarmac was a bit bumpy). I was expecting to be a bit stiffer. Acceleration was really great.

*I really doubt that top speed is only 210 km/h i believe that it's about 218 km/h. I will give it a shot as soon as i can and i will post the results. Also, i'm planning to put a Go Pro Camera in order to capture it and post it for demonstration purpsoses and of course in order to discuss it further.

Also, i've noticed that after 140++ km/h it becomes a bit noisy (it sounds like you have opened your window about 6-7cm). Not a big problem though, that noisy will be soon covered by the exhaust sound ..  ;D ;D ;D

Regarding the upcoming mods, I will post a list below and i will try to keep the topic updated with descriptions, pictures and videos. Stay tuned for more !!

PS: Any suggestions regarding the mods are appreciated.
PS2: English is not my native language, so forgive any mistakes that I have probably made.

So, i have made some mods already which made the car to look much better. It's a couple of simple things that makes the difference. I have added pictures in the album.

    - Low & High beam bulbs replaced with Philips Diamond Vision.
(OEM fog bulbs will be replaced too with Philips Diamond Vision)
    - Abarth fuel cap.
    - Abarth oil cap.
    - Biposto's radiator cap.  ;D
    - BMC air filter.
    - Abarth side decals.
    - Abarth pedals & footrest.
    - Abarth door sill trim.
    - Abarth tools bag.
    - Abarth licence plate. (wasn't stock, it will take a bit more to receive it)
    - Smoked look LED style side indicators.
    - Interior led bulb.
    - Exterior "white" bulbs.

** Most of these were bought from TMC. Great guys and great communication. I would totally recommend them.

Finally, i've changed to side "Abarth" decals, they were placed incorrect from the dealer but one of my friends has a wrap company and they placed the new one. Also, a "GoPro" sticker were placed. Plus, i've made a decal for the front plate to avoid drilling the front bumper.

What do you think guys ?
