Abarth 595 clutch rattle
« on: June 18, 2020, 04:24:00 pm »
I know it’s been mentioned in previous posts but I have just bought a new 595 Turismo and this too sometimes makes a “Wuurr” sound when changing gear at anything above about 2500 rpm. The noise seems to come from around the pedal area and lasts for 1 or 2 seconds. It’s mostly audible when going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Not sure about changes to higher gears as general noise probably masks it out. Took it to my local Abarth dealer and after a test drive they say it’s a vibration from the hydraulic clutch line, so nothing terminal. He goes on to say that “ They all do it”. I realise that this is sometimes a stock reply from garages but on this occasion I think this is correct as my wife’s previous Fiat 500S (6000m) did exactly the same thing.
